In a flash, a new month dawns.
Wrap up the past month,
Bank in the cheques,
Dry up those tears,
Forget the mistakes,
Calm the raging tempests,
Forgive the unreasonable remarks,
Move on and begin again.
That crying machine,
Put it behind you.
Leave it far in the recesses of your mind,
That mind palace you built so long ago.
Plot the points (3.33, 1.67),
Deposit the machine on that map.
Then fold it up, crush the paper,
Store it in the treasure chest.
You will never drop tears again,
Not until the map begins to turn yellow.
Because only then will you become stronger
And control all the lands in your palm.
I love these two lines:
“Then fold it up, crush the paper,
Store it in the treasure chest.”
And the idea of wrapping up the past month and getting on with living is great. Nice piece.
This should so be on a calendar. Nice work!
